The Cause
So that truth may triumph, so that justice and the good may endure, and for the reconstruction of Bakotcha by Bandoumkassa
Today, the ancestral kingdom of Bakotcha, nestled within Bandoumkassa in the Bamileke land of Haut-Nkam, has not a single house left standing. The community descended from the Ancestor Zeu Cheu Pieco must be raised back up — not only spiritually, but materially. And beyond the stones, it is the cause itself that carries us: that truth may triumph, that justice and the good may endure, and that the kingdom of Bakotcha may be raised again by Bandoumkassa.
All royalties from the sale of The Takunga, in all three languages and every format (paperback, Kindle, forthcoming audiobook), are dedicated to this cause. For every book purchased, approximately €9.40 goes to it.
The first steps
- Year 1 (2026) — rebuilding of 2 to 3 houses in permanent materials (estimated cost: 15-20 million FCFA / house).
- Year 2 (2027) — building a community house for gatherings.
- Year 3 (2028) — progressive restoration of the sacred place and the paths.
Transparency
A non-profit association — the Takunga Foundation — is being established to receive and redistribute the funds. All accounts will be published quarterly on this site, with before/after photos and audited invoices.
