1. Data Controller

The data controller is Firmin Fleury Danleu Ngappi, author and publisher of the book The Takunga. All data-protection enquiries can be addressed to contact@letakunga.com. Registered address: Bandoumkassa · Bakotcha · Cameroon.

2. Data collected via the contact form

When you use the contact form, the following data is collected:

• Name (required)
• Email (required)
• Subject
• Message body
• A hashed fingerprint of your IP address (first 12 characters of a SHA-256 hash, abuse-prevention only)
• User-Agent (your browser)
• UTC timestamp

3. Purposes

This data is collected solely to reply to your request (interview, speaking engagement, support for the cause, bulk order, etc.).

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of the data controller in answering a contact request) and Article 6(1)(b) (pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject).

5. Retention

Messages are kept for 24 months from the last exchange, then deleted.

6. Recipients

Messages are read only by the author. No data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes. The hosting provider (Veloraweb, USA) has technical access to server logs strictly for maintenance.

7. Transfer outside the EU

Messages are received on a cPanel-managed mailbox hosted in the United States (Veloraweb). This transfer is required by the chosen hosting infrastructure. No third-party analytics or tracker is used.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

• Right to data portability
• Right to restriction of processing

9. Complaints

10. Cookies and trackers

This site uses NO cookie, NO localStorage, NO sessionStorage, NO third-party tracker. No commercial analytics. No advertising.

11. Typography

The site uses the Cinzel and EB Garamond fonts. In this version, they are served via Google Fonts; a full self-hosted migration is planned for the next version.
